Friday sessions could include:

  • Higher Ed (HEd) Talk – like a TED Talk, maximum 15 minutes
  • Quickfire debate – 2 people, for and against, audience votes for a winner
  • Seminar – presentation followed by discussion amongst participants
  • Roundtable – facilitated conversation among experts and audience
  • Panel discussion – three to four people engaged in dialogue on a common theme

Proposals for a Friday online session should consider the different types of interaction available online.

Monday 12 and Wednesday 14 September – Face-to-Face in Hobart

To allow for maximum participation, TEMC holds concurrent working sessions organised into five streams:

  • The campus experience
  • Innovation
  • The learning experience
  • Inclusion
  • Leadership

This means several sessions are held at the same time.
Concurrent sessions can take many forms, for example:

  • Seminar – presentation followed by discussion amongst participants
  • Panel discussion – three to four people engaged in dialogue on a common theme
  • Quickfire debate – two people argue for and against a topic, and the audience votes for a winner
  • Higher Ed (HEd) Talk – like a TED Talk, maximum 15 minutes
  • Roundtable – facilitated conversation between experts and audience
  • Workshop – a group activity where participants learn new skills or delve into detailed dialogue about a topic

Digital poster presentations will be displayed throughout the conference. These short video presentations showcase an innovation, idea or project.
