Economist, writer and media commentator
Alison Pennington is an economist, writer and media commentator. She conducts research on economic issues facing working people including the future of jobs, skills and education, and the role of government. Alison is a regular national media commentator on TV and radio, with writing published on platforms including The Guardian and The New Daily. Alison has held previous roles as Senior Economist at The Australia Institute, as well as positions with the Commonwealth Department of Finance, and music teaching.
