Alex has worked in tertiary education in Australia and New Zealand for twenty years. In roles spanning University administration, student services, property, technology, e-learning and libraries. Most recently Alex was the senior executive O Te Whare Wānanga O Waitaha, the University of Canterbury in Ōtautahi Christchurch, where she was responsible for delivering post-earthquake recovery works. It was this experience that confirmed for her the enormous personal and organisational benefits of workplace cultural change. Having returned to Australia last year, Alex co-founded a digital transformation agency Engine No.2 and was invited to Co-Chair Reconciliation Queensland.

Alex describes herself as honest, open, fair and compassionate. She is a secret data geek, lover of technology and gadgets, and an enthusiastic life-long learner. Alex is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, New Zealand Company Directors, Australian Institute of Digital Health and is a Resolution Institute accredited mediator.
